I just returned from yet another wonderful experience at Indiana! This was my third stay there in 5 years and once again I have come back with wonderful memories of Mombasa. The rooms are reasonably priced, well maintained, clean and very adequately equipped. Super friendly staff, always willing to go the extra mile to make you comfortable. Two good sized, clean swimming pools to cool of in the heat of the day. The grill and a couple of bars make it very convenient to grab something to eat if you don't want to venture far. (For those with a spicy palate - the Masala chips are out of the world!) You have easy access to the beach. The malls, restaurants and movie theater are within a short driving distance. And then there is "Roberto's" for a scrumptious Italian feast with spectacular views of the beach, fishing boats, famous Arab dhows and the Indian Ocean. The restaurant offers a wonderful selection to "mangia" from! I had some vegetable lasagne and passion fruit sorbet to complete the meal - bellissimo! Last but not least, the owners have recently added a totally "Zen" spa "Frangipani" (so appropriate) on the site offering a variety of wonderful massage treatments and very creative manicure and pedicures at very competitive prices. The owners are very hands on - always present and welcoming, the MASSEUSE super friendly and willing to customize treatments to suit your needs. Take advantage of their seasonal specials! I did - twice! And loved every minute of the pampering in the tranquil environment, sipping herbal tea and listening to soothing music. The place is a win win if you don't want to break the bank!

This was our fourth trip in four years and we will definitely be back again:)
An excellent place to relax with the family if you want to avoid all those noisy and irritating tourists that you find at other over-hyped hotels! Great location, good food, helpful staff, beach within 2 mins walk, 3 swimming pools (great for the kids) and most importantly (for me) a couple of bars with a good collection of refreshments (Bring on the DAWA!).
Not forgetting my better half, there is a Spa (Frangipani SPA) on site which offers a range of relaxation treats, which she enjoyed to the maximum while I was on baby-sitting duties!
If you fancy a day out (or a couple of days) - there is a tour operator (Kuldip Tours) onsite who can organise anything from a day trip to the Fort or local market or even on safari for a couple of nights (if you prefer to try some adventure!).
There is also an italian restaurant - Robertos - good food (pizza is awesome), sports bar, great views (beach) and relaxing environment.
A great hotel overall with a good range of amenities on offer to suit any type of vacation - and everything is within walking distance of you room - pools, bars, Spa, beach, restaurants and tour guide.

This hotel has everything going for it.An unbeatable location,eclectic,comfortable and fabulous service, a lot of character in one word AMAZING. Never been more impressed. Worth coming back again and again!
